Our growing practices
We are proud of the significant effort we employ to minimize our environmental footprint while balancing the need to be economically viable.
We have achieved this by implementing an advanced Integrated Pest Management program. We make confident decisions on the farm to promote natural plant defenses, reduce excessive or unnecessary use of pesticides, manage pest populations below economic thresholds and increase the survival presence and impact of beneficial insects and organisms. We use natural processes to replace chemical use whenever we can. Example: You may have noticed while picking apples that some apples have dropped on the ground. Those apples are left intentionally on the ground to help act as a natural fertilizer.
We are confident in our products, our food safety and the betterment of the long-term future of our land. Produce from the grocery store often travels from another state or even overseas. This leaves a large carbon footprint. We firmly believe that the best produce is whats grown closest to you, thus reducing the carbon footprint and directly supporting a local farmer.
